Feathers & Flesh Fable Book
However much of the music, while occasionally being borderline generic, works quite well, and is ultimately a fun hour of listening. Avatar is a theatrical melo death metal band, which needs to be understood by the listener before delving into their music. Personally, they fall well short of Alice Cooper , but certainly higher than Manson. This made the predominantly prog fan in me quite happy as I have an admitted weakness and love for concept albums. The band, however, goes into the story with great gusto and seriousness and so produced a fairly enjoyable melo death album. The music throughout is rather bombastic, which given the philosophy behind the band should come as no great surprise.
Avatar - A Statue Of The King (Official Music Video)
An owl soars through the night sky, enjoying her dominance over the land. As she swoops and dives and flies, she ponders on her place in the world. Suddenly, from behind an emerald tower, an eagle dives in with a bit of uninvited arrogance, bringing with him change, and the light. The owl gathers her children close and races away, looking for a place for them to hide them. She plots to gather an army of nocturnal creatures to help her win a war against the eagle and ultimately destroy the sun so she can continue to live in eternal night. Hailing from Sweden, Avatar has an interesting band story.
